In Greece the taxation of the properties’ purchase and sale is 3%. But this amount is calculated in accordance with the fair market value of the property and not on purchase value.For the properties which are constructed after 01 January 2014 and which is on sale by constructor taxation is 24%. Furthermore, the purchase and sale procedures are carried out by notaries and lawyers and their fee is 3%. This amount is calculated according to the purchase value of the property and not on the fair market value.
For Estate Agent’s services, the commission is 2% of the property’s purchase value.
